Eligible applicants include the following organizations serving 5th through 8th grade youth: schools, community coalitions, community health education groups, home health agencies, faith-based organizations, teen/youth centers, and other youth serving agencies. State government organizations are not eligible to apply for VKAT grants, but are encouraged to collaborate with applicants in their area. The applicant must focus on a geographic area smaller than the state to be considered.

Questions about the scholarship application may be submitted to Angela Sawyer-DeSanctis (asawyer@vdh.state.vt.us) or Eoana Sturges (esturge@vdh.state.vt.us) via e-mail by May 4, 2010. Submitted questions will then be answered and posted here by May 11 for all applicants to review. The VKAT scholarship application deadline is 4:00 pm, Tuesday, May 18, 2010. Applications must be mailed or hand delivered - faxed or emailed applications will not be accepted.
